Enable AutoPay and paperless billing
This is the easiest $10 you will ever save. Every major provider — AT&T, Xfinity, Frontier, T-Mobile — offers a monthly discount of $5–$10 for enrolling in AutoPay with a bank account or debit card and going paperless. If you are not already enrolled, do it today.
Compare your current price against the new-customer rate
Internet providers routinely raise prices on existing customers while offering steep discounts to new sign-ups. Check what your provider is currently offering new customers at your address. If the gap is significant, call retention and ask to be moved to the promotional rate — or use that information as leverage to switch.
Call your provider's retention department — not customer service
Standard customer service agents have limited ability to change pricing. Ask specifically for the retention or loyalty department and tell them you are considering switching. Retention agents are authorized to offer credits, price reductions, and free plan upgrades that front-line agents cannot.
Switch to a provider with current promotional pricing
If your current provider's best offer still leaves you overpaying, switching is the most effective long-term solution. New-customer promotions at competing providers can save $20–$60 per month. Call us — our agents will check current offers from AT&T, Xfinity, Frontier, and T-Mobile at your address simultaneously.
📞 Call (800) 000-0000 — Check Competing OffersDrop to a lower speed tier if you don't need the speed
Most households are on plans faster than they need. If you primarily stream, browse, and video call with 2–3 people, a 200–300 Mbps fiber or cable plan is sufficient. Downgrading from a Gig plan to a 300 Mbps plan with the same provider can save $15–$25/mo with no practical impact on your experience.
Eliminate equipment rental fees
Older cable internet plans from Xfinity and other providers charged $10–$15/month to rent a modem. Xfinity has since included gateway equipment in its current 5-Year Price Guarantee plans, but if you are on an older plan, confirm whether you are still being charged. Call to verify.
Check if you qualify for low-income assistance programs
The FCC's Affordable Connectivity Program has ended, but providers have their own programs. AT&T offers "Access from AT&T" for qualifying households (income ≤200% of federal poverty level) at $10–$30/mo. Xfinity has Internet Essentials. Ask about eligibility when you call.
Bundle strategically — but only when it genuinely saves money
Providers push bundles heavily, but bundling is only a good deal if you actually use all the services. Adding a TV package you barely watch to get a $10 internet discount is not a saving — it's $50 extra per month. Calculate the real numbers before bundling.
Note on switching: Internet Cable Deals is an authorized dealer for AT&T, Xfinity, Frontier, and T-Mobile. If you are currently with Optimum or another provider not in our lineup, we can help you order service from any of our four carriers at their standard published rate — the same price as going directly to the provider. We cannot negotiate discounts with your current provider on your behalf.
Compare Current Rates at Your Address
Our agents check all four providers simultaneously and quote you the best current promotional pricing available at your specific address.
